Important Questions About Microblading

Want the low down on this years beauty trend? Continue reading this article to find out what you’re missing out on.

Abigail Williams stated in her Huffington Post Article, “Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates hairlike strokes to fill in sparse or thinning brows. The practice aims to give you an effortless full brow” – leaving your pencils and gels in the dust. Let me ease you on answering some common questions asked everyday.

  1. How much does it cost?

I will say that microblading costs a pretty penny but it is totally worth it! Just ask anyone who has had it done. It can cost between $500 to $1600, so do your research to make certain that you’re getting your pennys worth.

     2. Microblading can be time consuming.

Each client can take several hours from beginning to end because we, as artists and professionals, like to ensure that you are 100 percent satisfied with the outcome. We start with the outline of the brows and work with the client to make sure they have the ideal eyebrow they are looking for. We shape the brows to the face and work diligently to create the look. Also, taking into consideration the aftercare of your brows which adds time to your daily routine.

     3. Yes, it might hurt.

Mind you, it is essentially a tattoo on your face; it isn’t a walk in the park. However, we do provide the option of a numbing agent. While it creates a more difficult surface to work on, the application of the numbing agent creates a more comfortable session for the client.

     4. No, it is not permanent.

Again, microblading is semi-permanent. Everyone’s skin is different, however, micro balding lasts about 2 to 3 years with touch-ups once or twice a year. Because everyone’s skin takes differently to the ink, we average about two sessions per client. Some skin types preserve the ink better than others.

     5. Your brows will lighten after the first week.

Do your brows seem a bit darker than you had hoped? Do not fear! There is a healing process and with that process, your brows end up about 50 percent darker than what they were initially.

If it gets too light, that is where sessions come to affect.

     6. Be prepared and do research.

Still not sure? Do your research and ask more questions. We are more than willing to answer any questions you might have because we care about the outcome and about your satisfaction. We want to help you on your journey to an easier morning routine.
